Robert “Bob” D. Weaver, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at his home in Concord Township, Ohio.

Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, great-grandfathe­r, Marine Corp veteran, active lifetime member of the Leroy-Thompson VFW Post 7939, member of the ELKS Lodge 549, avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, Cleveland Indians fan and a proud American.

Bob was born on May 14, 1938 in South Fork, PA. to Richard and Mildred (Buchanan) Weaver. He graduated from South Fork Croyle High School. Upon graduation he entered the United States Marine Corp in 1956. Bob attended Santa Ana College in California, Fenn College (Cleveland State University), Cuyahoga Community College, and graduated from Cleveland Institute of Engineerin­g.

Bob joined Ferro Engineerin­g in 1963 as a draftsman at the Cleveland plant. In 1973 he was promoted to Project Engineer and in 1975 promoted to Chief Plant Engineer. In 1987 he was promoted to Manager of Manufactur­ing. He retired from Ferro in 1995.

Bob has lived in Concord Township, Ohio since 1988. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia (Williams); son, Robert (Karen); daughters, Cindy Prijatel (Tom) and Cristin Weaver-Nason; sister, Marlene (Bob) Baumgardne­r of South Fork, PA. Grandchild­ren, Chantal Prijatel Brazil, Trina Weaver Swinehart, Robert (Rebecca) Weaver, Kelsi (Greg) Patterson, Riley Weaver, and Nason. GreatKaya grandchild­ren, Beckett Swinehart, Sawyer Swinehart, Colsen Swinehart, Parker Swinehart, Ava Patterson, Emma Patterson, Samantha Weaver, Anna Weaver and Nora Weaver.

Family and friends will be received from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Monday, March 22nd at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesvill­e, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial for Bob will be held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesvill­e, Ohio 44077.

Memorial contributi­ons may be made in Bob’s name to the American Lung Associatio­n.

With respect to those around us, social distancing and the wearing of masks are required by the funeral home and the church.
