Mentor announces another new summer event
‘Tunes at the Lagoons’ to liven up some Saturday nights
Mentor is expanding its entertainment offerings on some Saturday nights this summer with the introduction of “Tunes at the Lagoons.”
The 2021 inaugural season will consist of two performances per month at the Mentor Lagoons Marina, 8365 Harbor Drive.
Local bands scheduled to perform are:
• June 12 — Cheeseburgers in Paradise
• June 26 — Revolution Pie
• July 17 — Redneck Incorporated
• July 31 — The Michael Weber Show
• Aug. 14 — Vinyl Arcade
• Aug. 28 — Boaterhead Performances will be held from 7 to 9 p.m.
Admission and parking are free.
Attendees can also enjoy food and refreshments from local food trucks weekly, as well as a selection of beers and wines.
The bands will play behind the dry storage building, and the lawn will be the seating area.
“We’re really excited about this new concert series and we’re looking forward to seeing how it evolves moving forward,” Community Relations Administrator Ante Logarusic said.
“Nothing captures the spirit of an ideal Saturday summer night on the North Coast like enjoying music on the water’s edge.
“Tunes at the Lagoons features some great local talent, and their music is a perfect complement to the laidback, flip-flop vibe of the marina.”
This is in addition to the city’s recent announcement of Mentor PerchFest, debuting at the Lagoons Aug. 27 through 29.
“This is another opportunity to showcase not only the Marina but the adjoining Nature Preserve, which we feel will become a growing attraction in the coming years, thanks to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s ongoing restoration of the Mentor Marsh along with our (proposed) new boardwalk and observation deck,” Logarusic said.
Vendor and sponsorship opportunities are available for Tunes at the Lagoons.
