Robert Paul Muehl passed away August 24, 2021 at age 90. Born October 16, 1930 in Cleveland.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was also long time member of Kiwanis Internatio­nal, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and a faithful member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Closest to his heart was volunteer work for the Special Olympics Summer Games at the Vienna Air Reserve Station, rebuilding talking books for the Library of Congress with the Ohio Telephone Pioneers and refurbishi­ng semi truck loads of toys for the needy with Toys of Love.

Bob was raised in Euclid and graduated from Euclid Shore High School. He married his late wife Romelda, started his family in Willowick and later moved to Willoughby. After Ro’s death he married his current wife Donna. They had 40 wonderful years together enjoying the love of all the children, grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren.

Bob worked at Ohio Bell for his entire 35 year career starting as a lineman. Ohio Bell sent him to night school for business at Fenn College (CSU). He worked his way through the company and retired as a manager. Bob was active in the community, an avid handyman and enjoyed fishing and crafts. Bob and Donna loved to travel and enjoyed many adventures in their RV, on numerous bus trips and later with a second home in Florida.

Preceded in death by his parents Erich and Adelia Muehl (nee Logies), first wife Romelda Muehl (nee Schmidt), sisters Marilyn Henkel and Karen Kline, daughter Christa Cook, son Gary Muehl and step grandchild Nick Laska.

Robert is survived by his second wife Donna Muehl (nee Bergenstei­n), sister Diane (Richard) Gent, son Robert Muehl (Lisa Quinn), son-in-law Kevin Cook, daughter-inlaw Rebecca Muehl, seven grandchild­ren and eleven great grandchild­ren.

Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 37728 Euclid Ave, Willoughby, OH 44094 on September 18, 2021 at 10 am. Burial to follow at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicoth­e Rd, Chesterlan­d, OH 44026. Per the request of the family and Bob’s wishes, we would ask that masks be worn indoors. Thank you for your understand­ing. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n.
