KidShow returns to Great Lakes Mall
Event showcases products, services for parents, fun for kids
The KidShow, which typically takes place in late March, will be held this year on Sept. 25 and 26, once again at Great Lakes Mall in Mentor.
The event serves as a resource for parents and a link for companies to connect with customers, according to a news release. Focused on everything about and for kids, the KidShow showcases products and services parents need and are seeking plus entertainment for a family fun outing.
“We have a great group of companies, entertainers and organizations who work with us each year coming back this year and are ready to bring their A-game,” said Patty Perry, owner of the Mentor company ProMark Enterprises, Inc. which owns and produces the KidShow.
“Exhibitors have been ready to share their products, services and talents since March of 2020 when just short of two weeks to the event date, the KidShow had to pause as the pandemic was upon us,” Perry said in the release. “We will be set up in a safe manner with exhibitors spaced throughout the mall and plenty of hand sanitizer.”
Dr. U.R. Awesome, will be returning to the KidShow from noon to 3 p.m., Sept. 25, and the professional bubbleologist and 11-time Guinness World Record winner for various soap bubble records will be putting kids and adults into bubbles.
Also, the first 250 families each day to stop at the Registration Center at the top of the Food Court will get a free KidShow goody bag. There also will be prizes and snacks as well all weekend long given away from the KidShow stage.
Skipper, the Lake County Captains mascot, will assist the staff with some fun and giveaways from the stage at noon on Sept. 25. Meanwhile, also on that day at the Cleveland Clinic Children’s booth, Kristi, a balloon artist from Everything Balloonz, will be twisting up creations.
“The opportunity we set out to create with the KidShow is one for parents to spend time with their kids at a free event filled with hours of activities and fun,” Perry stated in the release.
“The outcome we seek is children inspired by others through entertainment and interactive participation and parents gaining a wealth of new knowledge and resources to make good family choices.”
There is no admission nor parking fees.
