Raymond Joseph Doehring Sr.

-

Raymond Joseph Doehring Sr., age 70 of Mentor, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at his home. He was born on July 10, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Words can not begin to express what a wonderful and loving husband, father, and friend he was. He will be deeply missed by all that loved him. We all have to hold onto the hope that we will see him again. That this is not goodbye but I will see you soon.

To say that Raymond was a man of many talents was an understatement. Ask him to fix something and you could consider it done. As his son Ray said, “He had a Servant’s heart”. He would do anything for anyone and never expected anything in return.

Raymond enjoyed spending his days in his yard gardening and he was an excellent cook. He could make an excellent meal out of anything. He looked forward to and enjoyed his golf games with his buddies. He loved combing the beach for glass with his best friend and constant companion of 33 years, Rosemary.

Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Raymond worked as a Supervisor of Catalog Services at Parker Hannifin Corporation for 27 years. He retired in 2016. He left behind many dear friends and left a lasting impression with them all.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary (nee Armstrong) Doehring of 33 years; children, Raymond Jr (Laura) Doehring, Adam (Karen Snyder) Doehring, Ryan (Bridget) Dunbar, Rachel (Eric) Rittenhouse, Renee (Matt) Lanzaretta, and Rochelle Beres; grandchildren, Ava, Jackson, Vivian, Sam, and Ari; brother, William (Connie) Doehring; and uncle, Fred Bilskis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Aldonna Doehring; and former wife, Victoria Doehring.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m., at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held 10 a.m., Monday, September 27, 2021 at Mentor Cemetery. Meet in Section 35. Masks are optional at all services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Raymond may be made to the charity of your choice.
