Beloved son, brother, and uncle, William Karl (Bill) Schimke, age 65, of South Euclid, OH, passed this life September 19, 2021, at the David Simpson Hospice House of the Hospice of the Western Reserve.

Preceded in death by his parents, William and Rosemarie Schimke, and survived by his sisters, Susan Lange (Larry), and Janet Peasant (Tony), and his nieces Rebecca Pacheco (Alex), Lorraine Lange, Aurore Peasant, and great nephew, Gabriel Pacheco. Bill was a loyal son who cared for both his parents with great love and patience throughout their long illnesses.

Bill loved caring for the family dogs and feeding his wildlife friends, following the Cleveland Teams, and driving scenic paths, including summiting Mt Washington, NH.

Bill’s family shares sincere thanks with his long time Zagar and St. John’s friends, his special neighbors, friends Marilyn Slade and Tensie Holland, plus the kind and caring community of the Simpson Hospice House and Jakubs and Son Funeral Home. Their friendship and care for Bill mattered more than words can express.

Friends will be received Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10:30 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM at St. John Nottingham Lutheran Church, 1027 East 176th Street, Cleveland. Bill’s final reunion with his family at West Lawn Cemetery in Mantua Township will be at a later date.
