University of Mount Union

University of Mount Union students were acknowledged at the institution’s Senior Recognition and Honors Convocation.

Rita Pollock, of Mentor, was awarded the Mary Evelyn Cook Weber Prize, the Dean’s Purchase Award in Art, and the Laurie Kolenbrander Scholarship at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. The Mary Evelyn Cook Weber Prize is awarded to an outstanding junior art major. The work entitled “Grief Hidden” was chosen by the Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities in recognition of the student’s outstanding achievement in art during the academic year.

Taylor Klein, of Chardon, was awarded Alpha Lambda Delta Senior Certificate at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. Senior Certificates are awarded from the National Office of Alpha Lambda Delta and go to those senior members of Alpha Lambda Delta who have maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average.

Kaylee Klepper, of Middlefield, was awarded Alpha Lambda Delta Senior Certificate at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. Senior Certificates are awarded from the National Office of Alpha Lambda Delta and go to those senior members of Alpha Lambda Delta who have maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average.

Shyenne Ledford, of Madison, was awarded the Judge Phillips PreLaw Prize and Alpha Lambda Delta Senior Certificate at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. This prize is awarded to an outstanding pre-law student at the conclusion of his or her junior year. The selection is based on scholarship, promise of future success, and character.

Domenic Mularo, of Chardon, was awarded Alpha Lambda Delta Senior Certificate at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. Senior Certificates are awarded from the National Office of Alpha Lambda Delta and go to those senior members of Alpha Lambda Delta who have maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average.

Serena Sanzo, of Painesville was awarded Alpha Lambda Delta Senior Certificate at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. Senior Certificates are awarded from the National Office of Alpha Lambda Delta and go to those senior members of Alpha Lambda Delta who have maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average.

Abigail Stack, of Mentor, was awarded the Kendig Leadership Prize at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. This prize is awarded to a top female student entering her senior year who is in exceptional academic standing, shows strong leadership through her involvement with campus organizations, exhibits excellent citizenship, and believes in the University’s Mission.

Brendan Friedrich, of Mentor, was awarded the Wilbur and Burdella Stuckey Carl Mathematics Prize at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. The Wilbur and Burdella Stuckey Carl Mathematics Prize is awarded to members of the freshman class who are ranked best in mathematics.

Charles Hawley, of Mentor, was awarded AllOhio Athletic Conference Outstanding Academic Status at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. Hawley plays baseball at the University of Mount Union. These student-athletes are recognized as achieving varsity status and holding at least a 3.500 cumulative grade point average during the current academic year.

Mark Zusman, of Willoughby, was awarded All-Ohio Athletic Conference Outstanding Academic Status at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. Zusman is on the Men’s Lacrosse Team at the University of Mount Union.

Gianna Ranallo, of Wickliffe, was awarded All-Ohio Athletic Conference Outstanding Academic Status at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. Ranallo is on the Women’s Soccer Team at the University of Mount Union.

Caitlin Stuart, of Eastlake, was awarded AllOhio Athletic Conference Outstanding Academic Status at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. Stuart is on the Women’s Soccer Team at the University of Mount Union.

Cheyanne Bosse, of Montville, was awarded All-Ohio Athletic Conference Outstanding Academic Status at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. Bosse is on the Softball Team at the University of Mount Union.

Lauren Phillips, of Chardon, was awarded All-Ohio Athletic Conference Outstanding Academic Status at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. Phillips is part of the Women’s Track and Field Team at the University of Mount Union.

Julia Kerns, of Willowick, was awarded AllOhio Athletic Conference Outstanding Academic Status at the 2022 Mount Union Honors Convocation. Kerns is part of the Women’s Volleyball Team at the University of Mount Union.
