Library holding Fantasy, Folklore, Fiction Festival

Will provide themed activities, crafts, entertainm­ent

The public is invited to join the Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library for its second annual Fantasy, Folklore, Fiction Festival from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., May 14, at the Willowick Public Library, 363, E. 305th St.

Adult programs and events include “Time for Tea” at 11 a.m. at the Mad Hatter’s table for a talk on Tea 101 and samples from Palmer Place Teas; “Pick Your Poison-Mocktail Apple Sangria” at noon as adults are invited for samples and a demonstrat­ion and to decorate their own take-home glass; “Is Bigfoot a Buckeye?” is at 1 p.m. as expert Marc DeWerth will give a presentati­on on the folklore of Bigfoot; “Delectable Delights” at 2 p.m. in which Alyssa Albertone of Marlene’s Baker Supply will talk about her business and provide samples; and “Folklore with Author James Renner” at 3:30 p.m. in which the local author presents on Ohio’s legendary folk tales.

Teen programs and events will include “Green Screening” at 11 a.m. in which teens can take pictures on a variety of fun background­s using the library’s green screen; and “Choose Your Character” at 2 p.m. in which teens can learn about how to create a believable character when writing their own works.

Children’s programs and events will include “Fairy Tale Storytime & Craft” at 11 a.m. as children of all ages are invited to hear some fairy tales and make a related craft; “A Pretty Princess Appears” at noon as a princess will be in the library for pictures and visitation; and “Balloon Twisting” at 1 p.m. in which entertaine­r Everything Balloonz twists up some fun items.
