Eddie A. Bray

Eddie A. Bray, age 93, passed away May 6, 2022, in Kirtland. He was born July 14, 1928, in Dott, West Virginia to George and Mary (Taylor) Bray.

Eddie was a tool and die maker and worked for Brown Engineering Corp. for many years. He was a member of Painesville United Methodist Church. Eddie was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels. He was also a hospital volunteer and often

took his therapy dog, JR, to the hospital to visit patients.

He enjoyed walking his dog, riding his bike, listening to gospel music, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Mary C. (Dougherty) Bray of Fairport Harbor; sons, Eddie (Judy) Bray Jr. of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Van Alan Bray of Cleveland Heights, and Mike (Michelle) Humphreys of Concord Township; grandchildren, Tami, Adam, Ami, Mathew, Andrew, Alison, and Joseph; sister, Maxine Sowder.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Lorraine (White) Bray; his parents; brothers, Fred Bray and Howard Bray; sisters, Florence Bledsoe and Mildred McKinney.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Friends will be received Wednesday, May 11th from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
