William M. Brower
William “Bill” M. Brower Jr, age 90 of Fort Myers Florida formerly of Thompson, Ohio Slipped away to heaven on Tuesday June 7th, 2022, at Hope Hospice. He was born on March 20th, 1932, in Strabane, Pennsylvania to William M. Brower Sr and Anna May (Bizzack) Brower. He was a resident of Tamiami Village in North Ft. Myers Fl. where he lived with his wife for 21 years after retirement. He was the foundation of his family. Some of his best days were when all his children and grandchildren would gather. He loved his family more than anything. He was a shop manager for many years where they produced parts for military equipment and the moon modular units. Bill was a volunteer for the Montville Township Fire Station where he worked side by side with his lifelong friend John (Sis) Grogan. He loved traveling in his motorhome with the love of his life wife Mary of (71 years). They had many adventures and traveled throughout every state in the United States and made it to Hawaii where they renewed their wedding vows for their 25th Anniversary along with Alaska where they renewed their vows again in celebration of their 50th anniversary. He always liked to tell everyone he married Mary three times. He was active and loved hunting and fishing and spending time at his cabin in PA. He loved camping with the kids and teaching them all how to water ski. He loved decorating for the holidays with many strings of lights that lit up all the grandchildren’s eyes in wonder. In his later years he loved doing crafts and making crosses out of matches and giving them to friends and family.
He is preceded in death by William M. Brower Sr (father), Anna May (Bizzack) Brower (mother), Shirley (Brower) Reichard (sister) of Ft. Myers, Katherine Ann Brower (Daughter) of Layfette GA, Charles B Booth (grandson) Thompson, Oh, Stephen Pelkey (Nephew) OH, Joseph Weaver (Nephew) OH. He is survived by his spouse of 71 years Mary Louise (Beatty) Brower, of Ft Myers Florida, Daughter Deborah (Larry) Heller of Montville, Oh., Daughter Cindy (Marshall) Knowlton of Montville Oh, Son William (Robyn) Brower III of Rock Creek, Oh, Daughter Linda (Chip) Booth of Ft Myers Fl, Brother Richard (JoAnn) Brower of Washington, Pa, Beloved Sister Joyce (Bob) Bertliff of Marietta, GA, Eight Grandchildren, Eighteen Great Grandchildren and Three Great, Great Grandchildren along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held. Date to be determined. In lieu of Flowers the family request donations to The Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Ft Myers, Florida 33908.
