The Lake County Sheriff Office responded to state Route 2 eastbound in Painesville Township for a three-car crash where one vehicle caught fire.

According to a news release by the department, at 4:20 p.m. on March 23, deputies responded to a crash at the 224.8 Milepost on Route 2 eastbound.

According to the release, the crash investigation revealed a Mazda SUV and Honda SUV were stopped in traffic on SR 2 eastbound from a previous motor vehicle crash on U.S. Route 20 and Narrows Road in Perry Township.
