Line play will be a key for Cardinal this year.
Outlook
The Huskies are going to play fast this year. Look for senior quarterback Logan Strever to throw to a multitude of receivers and for the Huskies to play more of a wide-open, air attack than in previous years. There’s still good speed in the running game, too. Having so many starters back on each side of the ball will allow Cardinal to be aggressive and play fast. Depth in a small school is always a concern, and there are four new starters on the front seven.
Player to watch
Logan Strever is not only the quarterback on offense, but also on defense as a returning starter at linebacker. The offense runs through him. They’ll need to keep him healthy in order to reach their goals. Underclassman to watch: Max Soltis is 6-2, 200, but looks and plays a lot bigger than that. He’s the anchor of both lines.
Bottom line
IF: the switch to a wide-open offense is successful, THEN: the Huskies are going to be fun to watch and be a tough opponent this year.
