Outlook
The Blue Streaks enter the Chagrin Valley Conference on an upswing, with eight starters back on offense and nine on defense. This is a hungry team anxious to have success in a new conference after struggling in the WRC. Carson Alley is back at quarterback as a dual-threat type of player. James Poe and Sonny Salajcik will lead the run-based offense, but there is a glut of good skilled players on this team. Depth is also a big key, as there are very few two-way players.
Player to watch
You can never go wrong with a dual-threat quarterback who has experience. Carson Alley has that and more. He’s a tough, hardnosed kid. Underclassman to watch: James Poe has a big upside as a running back. He’s fast and very physical. He’s primed for a breakout year.
Bottom line
IF: the Blue Streaks continue their progression, THEN: they could win the Lake Division of the CVC.
