Metroparks to start selling tickets for Country Lights Drive-thru

Country Lights Drivethru is returning to Lake Metroparks Farmpark his holiday season, providing visitors a view of the beauty of lighted displays from the warmth of their own vehicle.

Country Lights Drivethru runs Nov. 30 and Dec. 1-3, 7-10 and 14-22, with time slots at 6, 6:30, 7, 7:30, 8 and 8:30 p.m.

Advanced tickets are required and are sold online only at lakemetrop­arks. com, according to a news release. Ticket sales begin Oct. 28 for Lake County residents and Farmpark members, and Oct. 29 for out-of-county residents.

Ticket cost is $27.50 per carload with a maximum of three drive-thru tickets per family or Farmpark membership, the release stated.

Wooden toy kits will be available for prepurchas­e for $5 each during purchase of carload ticket. Kits will be picked up at the event and taken home to assemble.

Tickets purchased online will be emailed and then can be scanned directly from a mobile device at the event or they may be printed out and brought to the event. Attendees are asked to arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to their ticket time.

This event runs rain, snow or shine.

Drive-thru vehicle rules are:

• No limos, buses or oversized vehicles. Vehicle size is limited to 20 feet in length, and 6 ½ feet in width. For example — a Ford F250 truck.

• For guest safety, all tailgates, van/car doors and hatchbacks must remain closed at all times.

• Riding in the back of a pickup truck is not permitted.

• Remain in the vehicle along the entire route.

• No vehicle parking at this event; arrange any carpooling prior to arriving.

• Restrooms are not available along the route, so plan accordingl­y.

• Lake Metroparks reserves the right to refuse any vehicle entry into the event if not in compliance with these rules.

Lake Metroparks Farmpark is located at 8800 Euclid Chardon Road in Kirtland.
