A Great Adventure is Coming Your Way! Central Canada, containing the country’s two largest provinces, Ontario and Quebec, is part of a massive geographic land formation known as the Canadian Shield. Both Ontario and Quebec are dotted with thousands of small lakes & rivers, and home to iconic Canadian animals such as beaver & moose. The French were the first Europeans to permanently colonize what is now Quebec and parts of Ontario. There are about 10 million French speakers in Canada, and they’re found in every province and territory... but Quebec is the only province in Canada whose official language is French.
