Robert Malm

-

Age 72, passed away uexpectedly on October 27, 2023.

Bob was a kind person with a dry sense of humor! You were never quite sure where an idea or thought came from! He would quietly support and help others in small and big ways. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He was very handy. He maintained and renovated our home over the years. Bob and Beth enjoyed cruising and they traveled to many places. The Caribbean, Central America, South America, sailing through the Panama Canal, Alaska, Baltics, Europe, Norway, Iceland, Scandinavia. Antarctica, Hawaii, and French Polynesia were among the ports of call. It is comforting to know that he was doing something he loved and that he died in his sleep in their stateroom on a Mediterranean cruise!

Bob was a graduate of John Dickinson High School and served his country in the United States Air Force and the Delaware Air National Guard. Most of his professional career he worked in the Automotive Service Industry as a Store Manager for Tire and Automotive Service Centers and, later as an outside Wholesale Tire Salesman and a Heavy-Duty Truck Parts Territorial Sales Representative where he was a top performer.

Preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Ruth Malm; and his sister, Patrice; he is survived by his wife and life partner of more than 40 years, Beth; his siblings, Linda, William ( Tina), Bonita/ Bonnie (Anthony), Thomas (Alison), Michael (Renee), and Andrea (Adil); his daughter, Stacey; granddaughter, Savannah; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and some special friends.

There will be no funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held in early 2024 at the convenience of the family. Contributions in Bob’s Memory may be made to Sunday Breakfast Mission, P.O. Box 352, Wilmington, DE 19899 (sundaybreakfastmission.org/give) or Smile Train, Inc. 633 3rd Avenue 9th Floor, New York, NY 10017 (donate. smiletrain.org).
