More than a dozen cuisine types offered during Restaurant Week
Foodies on a budget can dine like royalty during the upcoming Center City District Restaurant Week in Philadelphia. Roughly 100 participating restaurants will provide prix-fixe, three course menus, with prices capped at $60 per person for top-end service. Here’s everything else you need to know about Restaurant Week in Philadelphia.
Dishes that won’t break budget
Restaurant Week in Philadelphia begins today and runs through Feb. 3.
According to the Restaurant Week website, dinner is available for $45 per person at most restaurants, with a premium $60 option at select locations. Two-course lunch menus are $20.
“We need to continue to support our restaurants as they are a vital part of our downtown economic engine,” said Michelle Shannon, vice president of marketing and communications for Center City District, in a statement. “As always, we encourage everyone to come for dinner, but stay for everything else.”
Chefs will prepare dishes with an international flair — Asian, Brazilian, Caribbean, Cuban, French and Indian cuisine are just a few of the worldwide offerings — and will be joined by other chefs specializing in regional cuisines from across the country.
Luckily, there is a sortable tab at the bottom of the Restaurant Week site in which foodie can narrow — or widen — their palate. The full list of participating restaurants can be found there. Reservations for Restaurant Week can also be made through OpenTable.
Mixto Restaurante, which offers Caribbean, Cuban and Latin American cuisine, took to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to announce its participation and encourage reservations. Yakitori Boy, an izakaya and karaoke lounge in the Chinatown district, also took to X to showcase its Restaurant Week in Philadelphia menu.
