-

In OC, Seacrets is all set to host the annual Love on Tap: Shore Craft Beer Fest. It will take place from 2-5 p.m. Saturday. Live music will be provided by both the Big House Band and Mike Donato ($40). Seacrets has also placed tickets on sale for its yearly Craft, Mac & Cheers: Beerfest & Pig Roast, which this time will take place from noon to 4 p.m. April 6 ($49). In addition to warm comfort food (and cool suds from local microbreweries), there will be tunes courtesy of the high-energy country act Triple Rail Turn.

Yacht rock tribute act coming to Rusty Rudder in Dewey Beach

In Dewey Beach, the Rusty Rudder will present a concert by New York Citybased tribute act The Yacht Lobsters at 9 p.m. on Saturday ($25). The group will cover mellow radio staples from the likes of Hall & Oates, Toto and the Doobie Brothers.

The Rudder also has tickets on sale for an event next month called Western Dreamland: A Country & Disco Party. It will take place at 9 p.m. March 9 ($20). It is the brainchild of the same national promoter behind The Taylor Party dance bash, which entertained a soldout crowd of Taylor Swift fans at the Rudder on Feb. 10.

By popular demand, The Taylor Party will return to Dewey this spring — but this time it will be held at the Rudder’s nearby sister business, the Bottle & Cork, at 8:30 p.m. May 31 ($25).

Bottle & Cork adds June concert from country music superstar

Speaking of the Bottle & Cork, the seasonal Dewey nightclub has announced that tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. today for a summer concert by country star Sara Evans. That show will take place at 8 p.m. June 23 ($45). Evans was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville last year.

The Cork already has four advance sellouts on its hands — for appearances by Taking Back Sunday, Jake Owen, Mr. Greengenes and Nate Smith.

George Thorogood leads early slate from Freeman Arts Pavilion

Near Selbyville, the outdoor Freeman Arts Pavilion has announced the first big batch of bookings for its Sounds Like Summer concert series. More than a dozen events were confirmed Monday (with more on the way). The sale of tickets to these shows started Thursday and will continue today, with on-sale times varying.

One of the highlights is the first Freeman appearance by New Castle County native George Thorogood and his backing band the Destroyers — originally known as the Delaware Destroyers. The blues-rock guitarist will bring his 50th anniversary tour to the pavilion at 7 p.m. June 22 ($49).

As it often does, Freeman will present several packages which bring famous names together to co-headline. Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight will appear at 7 p.m. June 6 ($59). Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues and Christopher Cross will team up at 7 p.m. July 10 ($39). We’ll have more updates about Freeman shows in this column in the weeks ahead.
