Goldsboro, North Carolina - Carol Annette Evans Cuddington, age 84, died on Friday, May 10, 2024. She was born in Johnston County on June 12, 1939, and was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lizzie Evans, and her husband, Donald Cuddington. She served as a secretary at the First Christian Church of Wilson before and during the early years of her marriage. She was a member of Stoney Creek FWB Church and served there as both a secretary and financial secretary from 1981 to 2018, retiring at the age of 79. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with burial in Bizzell Grove Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her sons, Donald R. “Donnie” Cuddington, Jr., (Laurie) of Milford Center, OH, and Clifton L. Cuddington of Goldsboro; siblings, Faye Kittrell of Wilson, Hugh Evans (Jackie) of Clayton, Margie Rowe (Jimmie) of Ahoskie, and Maurice Evans (Pat) of Youngsville; grandchildren, Sarah Williams (Dustin) of Jacksonville, FL, Amy McCoppin (Ryan) of Dayton, OH, Carrie Gustafson (Andrew) of Louisville, KY, and Walter Cuddington (Claire) of Xenia, OH; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Betty Herring (LaVon), Ollie Martinez (David) and Rose Carroll (Milton). Special thanks to caregivers, Julie Wallace and Barbara Worrell, and to the ladies of Gwendolyn’s Care Team. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 to 2 PM.
