Josephine (Faust) Durkin

Josephine (Faust) Durkin, of New Milford, CT, passed away on November 9, 2018 in her home.

Josephine is preceded in death by her husband John C. Durkin

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at St Joseph’s Church Brookfield, CT at 12:00 p.m.

Josephine was born in Danbury, CT daughter of Hanna Johnston Faust and Frederick Faust. She attended Danbury Schools and graduated from Danbury High School. She also graduated from Henry Abbott Technical School in the first LPN program. She worked as an LPN for Danbury Hospital for many years.

Josephine is survived by her children: Brian Durkin and his wife Linda, Dawn Stoops and her husband Wayne. Sean Durkin and his wife Susan, Pamela Cassidy, and Scott Durkin She also leaves behind her sister Kathleen Thompson of Greenwich, CT, as well as 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to New Milford Animal Welfare or St Jude Children’s Research Hospital
