Danbury kicked off the holiday season with the annual “Light the Lights” event, presented by CityCenter Danbury. Following musical numbers by the St. Joseph School choir and the Danbury High School Madrigal Singers, Mayor Mark Boughton counted down with the crowd and threw the switch to light the holiday lights throughout downtown Danbury. With the trees in the Public Library Plaza aglow, the crowd moved to the edge of Main Street to watch the parade of firetrucks, decorated with twinkling lights, and the arrival of Santa Claus.
