Halstead collects toys for Inspirica’s annual Holiday Gift Collection
Halstead Connecticut offices have been busy spreading holiday cheer with acts of kindness. Agents wrapped up a holiday gift drive, collecting toys for children in need on behalf of Inspirica. The Stamford-based organization collects and distributes gifts to children in need every year, in the effort to make sure no child in the area goes without a gift during the holidays.
To do their part for the gift collection, the New Canaan - Elm Street office sponsored gifts for 15 children, and also kept a collection box so members of the public could drop off gifts as well. Joanne Santulli coordinated the drive for New Canaan, as she has done for over 13 years. Other Connecticut offices, including Westport and Greenwich, also participated in Inspirica’s gift drive and served as official drop-off locations.
Inspirica then wrapped, personalized and distributed more than 6,000 toys to kids in the area, just in time for Christmas.
Inspirica’s Holiday Gift Collection began in 1989 and originally served children of families living with HIV/ AIDS. Since then, the program has expanded to include children affected by homelessness or poverty in Fairfield County and beyond. The drive is one of the largest of its kind in the region, and is growing every year.
