Agent brings unique skill set to her clients as an insurance expert
New to the real estate industry, Yasmina Hussain, who works with her fiancé, Christopher Rink, became a Realtor in June.
Hussain studied business management and communications at the University of Massachusetts and Western Connecticut State University. Prior to real estate, she worked in insurance for 18 years.
Through that experience, she honed an understanding of property valuations, construction and the cost of building materials.
“A lot of home insurance has to do with home valuations and familiarizing yourself with property specifications and stuff of that nature,” she said.
With parents who own and manage properties, real estate is in her bloodline.
Being young and eager and her partnership with Rink set Hussain apart.
“A person that takes us on is really getting two for one,” she said. “We’re just really excited about this new step that we’re taking.”
When working with buyers, Hussain who serves greater Danbury and western Fairfield County, sets up a consultation in which she goes over expectations and clients’ wants and needs. Then she helps familiarize them with the inventory.
“We get as specific as we can to make sure we’re really targeting the right home,” she said. “We become familiar with one another, what the family is looking for, really trying to be as specific and as close as we can to find what they are looking for, for their family.”
With sellers, she works on marketing the home.
“A lot of what you need to do is get out
there, Chris and I use a lot of social media,” she said. “You want to get as many views on the property as possible. You want to be more visible you want eyes on the property.”
Hussain and Rink are willing and eager “to help in any way shape or form,” she said.
Helping someone to find the perfect property is her reward.
“It’s just very satisfying finding someone their new forever home,” she said. “You really do want to find somebody the right home.”
Hussain and Rink are getting married in Maine in May and enjoy camping. They have a dog named Bluu and Rink has two young sons.
