New Milford school board closes $1.2 million budget difference

From newstimes.com: Roadrunner13: So some of the cuts really won’t affect them at all. The positions they are eliminating are not filled anyway. Seems the cuts are bogus if they weren’t paying anyone anyway.

From newstimes.com: Frank1011: I don’t understand. They’re getting more money than last year, but need to make more cuts? Why is this?

From newstimes.com: excell: Same old story screw over the kids o no can’t cut an administrator predictible and pathetic.

Victim in fatal boating accident a Waterbury teacher

From newstimes.com: ReddingReader3: There is too much traffic on the lake. Anyone who waterskis on that lake is in constant danger while waiting to be picked up after a fall. Add alcohol to the equation and the risks to everyone are even higher.

From newstimes.com: pleaseread: I made the mistake of going out on that lake in a canoe, some boater (maybe drunk) turned towards us to try and swamp us...not cool...

From newstimes.com: FreeCountry: This is a tragedy in so many ways. Nobody should be operating a powerboat to endanger any swimmer, canoeist, sailboat, scuba diver or any other person in the water. It seems too often that the simple minded power throttle and lack of training and testing results in dangerous behavior... as does swimming without extreme vigilance to the dangers a boat under power has. She looks like a wonderful person, I’m sure she’ll be missed terribly.

Danbury leaders hope new educational video will help fight opioid addiction

From newstimes.com: CPatrone: The very people this video is designed to reach will never even see it. But local groups, politicians, and the police can pat themselves on the back, according to custom.

From newstimes.com: NickyTeenFit: I’m pretty sure garbage mountain was revealed twelve years ago in Idiocracy.

From newstimes.com: GoodGrief: Show every 8th grade student, The French Connection (1971), starring Gene Hackman as Popeye Doyle. That should deter a few students from riding the horse.
