Two arrests have been made in the wild altercation outside a Stamford Chinese restaurant stemming from a customer claiming he found a mouse in his food.

Juwan Knight, 24, has been charged with second-degree assault and conspiracy to commit third-degree assault and Ervin Thompson, 25, has been charged with thirddegree assault and conspiracy to commit third-degree assault.

The charges stem from an incident in August when a China XPress customer de- manded a refund and claimed the fried rice he purchased the previous night had a mouse in it, police said.

An employee looked inside the bag of food and refused to give 25-year-old Antwaun Boyd a refund because he did not see a mouse.

Boyd, however, told police the employee pulled the rodent out of the rice and got rid of it.

According to restaurant staff, Boyd became agitated and yelled at employees.

Police said Boyd began arguing with the restaurant owner and took off his shirt to instigate a fight. Police said Boyd called a friend asking for

help fight the employees, police said.

Police said that a few minutes later, three people got out of a car and Boyd punched one of the employees in the face. A fight then broke out between the employees and Boyd and his friends, police said.

Knight slammed an employee to the ground and repeatedly punched the man in the face, according to an arrest affidavit.

Thompson punched the same employee in the face, the arrest affidavit said.

Boyd fled with his friends, leaving his grandmother at the restaurant, police said. The grandmother was struck with awooden spoon, police said.

Boyd was charged in August with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
