- — kkoerting@newstimes.com

The Redding Police Department is selling custom pint glasses for $10 to raise money for its No Shave November campaign to benefit the Connecticut Cancer Foundation.

The glasses are available at the department, Pignones Redding Ridge Market and Deli, Redding Wines and Spirits, Georgetown Package Store and Lina’s Liquor and Wines.

The glasses can then be brought to participating restaurants and brewery for discount beer on Nov. 17. The number of drinks at these rates may be limited. Draft beers are 50 percent off with the glass at The Black Cat Grille, The Wire Mill Saloon and Barbecue, Washing- ton Prime, The Redding Road House, The Spinning Wheel, Milestone and Lombardi’s Trattoria. Rancho Alegre will offer 50 percent off bottled beer and The Redding Beer Company is hosting a special of $ 1 pints.

“While The Redding Police Department encourages participation, we would like to remind patrons to do so responsibly and bring a designated driver,” according to the department’s news release.

The money raised will help Connecticut cancer patients pay for their basic living expenses while receiving treatment. The Connecticut Cancer Foundation has pledged that 100 percent of the money raised for No Shave November will directly benefit Connecticut cancer patients.

People can donate directly to the cause at noshavenovemberct.org and searching for the Redding Police Department.. For information, visit the Redding Connecticut Police Department Facebook page or contact Officer Livingston at mlivingston@rpdct.us.
