Anna “Nina” M. (Albrizio) DiPerrio passed away peacefully and unexpected­ly at the Westerly Hospital in the company of her loving family on Monday October 29, 2018 at age 95. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Anthony J. DiPerrio in 2004. Mrs. DiPerrio was born in Worcester, MA on August 29, 1923, the oldest child of the late Frank and Mary (DeSantis) Albrizio. She was a graduate of Commerce High School Class of 1941 in Worcester, MA. She was initially was employed as a secretary in the office of civil defense in Torrington, CT during WWII and then worked as a bookkeeper at Norton Company in Worcester, MA. She later worked in accounting at Sears Roebuck in Manchester, CT until she and her husband Anthony, purchased an automotive parts company and warehousin­g business in Torrington, CT. She became President of Ramada Enterprise­s and Secretary of Western Connecticu­t Auto Electric where she managed the accounting and inventory staff until her retirement in 1979. In 1986 she and Tony relocated to Misquamicu­t Beach, RI. Family was her greatest love. Her marriage to Tony for 56 years, her three children, four grandchild­ren, and three great grandchild­ren were the center of her existence and happiest pieces of her life.

Her second love was cooking and entertaini­ng. She brought dining pleasure to everyone that found themselves at her table with her expertise in classic Italian dishes learned first hand from her father and her motherin-law. She was also an avid collector of Italian cookbooks and never tired of researchin­g through these books and the plate.

She is survived by her children; Roberta A. DiPerrio of Westerly, RI, Anthony J. DiPerrio II and his wife Nanci of Sandy Hook, CT, and Michael F. DiPerrio and his wife Robin White of Newton, MA; Grandchild­ren: Katie E. (DiPerrio) Bloom and her husband Justin, their children Cassidy, Landon, and Hunter, Robin A. DiPerrio, Nina H. DiPerrio, and Lydia R. DiPerrio, her sister, Beatrice Pepper of Worcester, MA, her sister, Eleanora Penny of Worcester, MA, her sister, Marguerite Giordano of Shrewsbury, MA, her brother, Frank Albrizio of Millbury, MA and many nieces and nephews.

Anna was a communican­t at the Church of Saint Clare in Misquamicu­t, RI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Saint Clare, 62 Crandall Avenue, Misquamicu­t, RI 02891. At Nina’s request, calling hours are respectful­ly omitted. Burial will be private.
