Connecting with her clients
ARealtor since 2001, Roni Agress has a Bachelor of Arts in speech and theater from the University of Nevada, Reno. Prior to real estate, she worked as a personal assistant to Liza Minnelli, owned a business booking talent for corporate events, worked in various capacities for off Broadway shows and was in banking.
“Really all of that gave me insights into dealing with people and dealing with people respectfully and sensitively,” she said. “I’m always trying to understand and put myself in their place. Buying and selling a home can be stressful; everything that I’ve done has allowed me to guide and counsel my clients.”
Agress, who primarily serves Redding and Ridgefield, decided to take on real estate when her child entered school and she wanted to go back to work.
She interviewed with agencies and before she was licensed had decided to sign on with William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, where she’s been since.
Dilligent, caring, dedicated and committed to working in real estate on a full time basis, Agress said her background gives her an edge.
“My experience was really all over the world meeting a lot of different people in situations that required my expertise, my ability to manage just about anything that came my way so I think that’s what sets me apart,” she said.
When working with buyers, she listens and understands what they truly want and expect in a home or community. She educates them on the community they are
considering and the state of the market.
Most importantly she makes a connection with her clients, whether they are buyers or sellers.
“Be honest, straight forward and authentic,” she said. “Authenticity is everything.”
With sellers, she listens to determine their motivation, educates them on the market and provides information to help them understand the value of their home in today’s market. She also tactfully informs them what they need to do to prepare the home for market and positions it where it has the best chance of selling.
Agress is married with one grown daughter who’s an artist in Manhattan.
