Tuesday is Election Day

Polls statewide are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. From the Secretary of the State’s website, myvote.ct.gov

▶ Absentee ballots received by local Town Clerk (or will not be counted) by close of polls 8 p.m.

▶ You may register and vote in person on Election Day if you meet the eligibilit­y requiremen­ts for voting in this state and you are not already registered, OR you are registered in one town and want to change your registrati­on because you currently reside in another town.

▶ Election Day registrati­on is not available at your polling place. Contact your local Registrar of Voters office for informatio­n about your town’s designated Election Day registrati­on location and ID requiremen­ts. You will need to provide proof of identity and residency.

▶ To voste, photo Identifica­tion is not required. For most voters, your must have name and address, or name and signature, or, name and photograph for it to be accepted as a valid form of ID at the polls:

▶ Voters who are voting for the first time in a municipali­ty, and lacked proper identifica­tion when registerin­g, additional types of identifica­tion may be required. Contact your local Registrar of Voters’ office or visit www.myvote.ct.gov, for more informatio­n on ID requiremen­ts.
