Realtor has concierge approach
ARealtor since 2000, Michele Milton has an associate’s degree in sales and merchandising for the fashion industry from the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising and took classes at Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Her first career chapter was in the fashion industry in sales management, marketing merchandising and product development. She went around the country managing trunk sales, and traveled the globe overseeing the product development for such designers as Donna Karan, Vendee, Ungaro and Hermes Saperga.
“I was very good at tracking trends and putting products on the map that had sort of not been discovered,” she said.
In that career, she honed troubleshooting and solution finding skills.
What sets her part is her concierge approach to real estate and putting herself in her client’s place.
“I consider myself full service, almost like a personal shopper for my sellers and buyers,” she said.
Milton works with people relocating all over the world and relies on a network of international Keller Williams offices to help her better serve clients.
“It’s interesting, it sort of taps into what I did previously,” she said.
When working with buyers, Milton, who serves Fairfield County and Candlewood Lake, has an initial consultation in which she makes sure they have a mortgage company and know their purchasing power. She walks them through the process and as things come up is there to answer questions and help.

Milton also suggests ways to prepare the house for sale, including decluttering, painting and freshening things up.
Milton is married and lives in Brookfield where she enjoys watching wildlife in her backyard. She has worked on fundraising with various animal rescues, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Habitat for Humanity and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
