Your own private estate will enamor you with its overall magnificence.

“Special attention was given to such details as premier organized closets, striking window shades, plantation shutters, raised wood panels, crown molding and more,” said Lorraine Amaral, Realtor with William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s Northern Fairfield County Brokerage.

Built in 2006, the 4,004-squarefoot colonial is nestled on 0.76 parklike acres at 35 Block Farm Road, a quiet cul-de-sac with tranquil views of the Monroe countryside.

“Monroe is a suburban town with plenty of character and charm. It has many recreation facilities to enjoy, including hiking and fishing,” Amaral said.

The like-new home was completely updated and features an open floor plan, gleaming hardwood floors throughout the main level, vaulted ceilings and a professional color palette.

“The entire home has been recently painted with designer interior colors,” she said.

Featuring a gray palette complimented by white trim, the home’s elegant two-story foyer is spacious and inviting.

“Gleaming hardwood floors and stunning wood staircase, which has a geometrical gray and white runner and a dimensional light fixture above captures a dramatic feel,” Amaral said.

The spacious eat-in kitchen features double beveled edge granite counters, a large center island with seating for four, an abundance of maple cabinetry, recessed lighting, a large walk-in pantry, a tumbled marble backsplash tile embellished with a metallic border, undercounter lighting and a farmhousestyled sink. New stainless steel GE appliances include a gas stovetop, a double wall oven, a microwave, a French door refrigerator, a sixburner cooktop and a Bosch dishwasher.

Acasual dining area, adorned with a symmetrical modern chandelier, is located near glass doors and windows that keep the space bright and airy. Sliders open to an expansive private deck and a level backyard dotted with privacy trees.

From the kitchen are a few steps up into a grand family room detailed with meticulous oak flooring, a generously-sized palladium window and an imposing modern marble fireplace with a mantel and hearth.

“A candelabra-styled chandelier, a vaulted ceiling, a neutral gray color palette, bright white moldings, and French doors make this space complete,” she said. “The elegance and casual comfort this room exudes creates a warm feeling while still offering luxury. The open floor plan is stunning, created where you can have your own space yet not feel distant.”

Adouble set of French doors opens to a spectacular all-season sunroom currently being used as an executive office. The room has walls of windows with plantation shutters and a contemporary ceiling fan.

Dine amidst a modern surrounding in the formal dining room. This sleek room has hardwood floors, soft gray walls, custom raised panels, crown molding and a deep slate gray tray ceiling with an updated candlelight chandelier.

“A bay window allows for an abundance of sunlight,” Amaral said.

You’ll feel comfortable in the multi-use main level den/office.

“Built-in desks and custom shelving and cabinetry all create an awesome workspace that’s quiet and serene,” she said. “This room can be used as an au pair suite or an extra bedroom, if needed.”

Amarble wood-burning fireplace creates a cozy ambiance in the formal living room that features hardwood floors, recessed lighting, crown molding, and windows overlooking the vast front lawn.

“It’s the perfect place to entertain guests,” Amaral said.

Completing the main level is a half bathroom with scrolled taupe and cream wallpaper and a pedestal sink.

An exquisite wood staircase offers a gorgeous view of the home’s entry. On the upper level, you’ll find a huge master bedroom suite that envelops you in warmth. It has new, luxurious Berber wall-to-wall carpeting, white molding, walk-in closets and windows that bring in natural light. A full, luxurious master bathroom offers more tranquility. The bathroom has a jetted bathtub, a walk-in tiled shower with seamless glass doors, granite counters with dual sinks and a neutral tiled floor.

The upper level also has three additional bedrooms, all with wall- to-wall carpeting, ample closet space and easy access to both a Jack-and-Jill bathroom and another full bathroom.

Additional amenities include a main level laundry room with cabinetry, a clothes bar, a laundry sink, a ceramic tiled floor and a walkout to the rear deck. Also, the home has central air conditioning, a central vacuum, a security system, high efficiency forced hot air multizoned heat, a Energy-Star certified Nest thermostats, an attic and a three-car oversized garage.

“It has a custom built-in children’s bench that’s great for hanging backpacks and storing extra items,” Amaral said. An unfinished basement with interior access offers storage space and the possibility of finishing.

The professionally landscaped property offers a serene-like ambiance with a variety of trees, shrubs, and perennials. The backyard is lined with privacy woods.

“When you arrive at the home you’re greeted by custom stone walls and a paved driveway lined by mature pampas grass. The home’s entrance is a walkway of blue stone and bricks with wrought iron railings leading to the front covered porch,” Amaral said.

An artistic leaded glass front door introduces you to the beauty of the home. A large, lush yard is adorned with mature gardens, extensive custom stone walls, exterior lantern-styled lighting, an invisible pet fence and an underground sprinkler system. A ground level deck offers outdoor entertaining space.

“You must see this home to appreciate it,” Amaral said. “Any buyer will be pleased not only by purchasing a home in mint, likenew condition and close to schools and shopping, but by living in such awelcoming neighborhood.”

The home is offered at $684,900. To view the virtual tour, visit www.WilliamPitt.com, MLS#170134670.
