Trygve L. Solvang, of Wilton, CT, died peacefully in Holland, MI on December 10, 2018, surrounded by his family at age 92. He was born on October 23, 1926 in Mandal, Norway to the late Tonnes and Anna (Gundersen) Solvang. He was married to his late wife Evelyn (Hansen) Solvang for 60 years until her death in 2012.

Trygve was a Residentia­l Developer, building many homes in Norwalk, Wilton, Westport, Weston, New Canaan and Newtown. Trygve loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was active at Parkway Assembly of God, Norwalk, CT and at First Assembly of God, in Brookfield, CT. He served as Church Board member, Sunday School teacher, Commander/Royal Ranger boys’ group, Gideons Internatio­nal and Prison Ministries.

Trygve was blessed with a family who loved him and will miss him dearly. He is survived by three daughters, Maryann (Ray) Tobiassen of Wilton, CT; Arlene (Ivan) Stubbs of Holland, MI; and Lillian (Stephen) Miller of Three Rivers, MI; by his eight grandchild­ren: Jason (Summer) Stubbs of Holland, MI; Erika (Joel) Rowe of Gainesvill­e, FL; Tiffany (Andrew) Horne of Vicksburg, MI; Kristin (Jonathan) Luiz of Wilton, CT; Kimberly (Jake) Cowing of Three Rivers, MI; Melissa (Matthew) West of Redding, CT; Sarah (Nathaniel) Moore of North Hollywood, CA; and Stephen (Jamie) Miller of Alexander, AR; by sixteen greatgrand­children and also, David Creigh and his daughter, Jessica of Milford, DE and Dean (Tracy) Creigh of Georgetown, DE.

A Memorial Service will be held to honor Trygve’s life on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at First Assembly of God, 133 Junction Road, Brookfield, Connecticu­t 06804 at 11 a.m.
