Highest priced listings of the week

- Christopher Rink

ARealtor since June, Christopher Rink is working on getting his New York and Massachusetts licenses. With a degree in criminal justice from Norwalk Community College, Rink was a carpenter, contractor and worked in law enforcement prior to launching a career in real estate.

Rink understands how houses and commercial buildings are built and the costs of projects and can do quick estimates. Through his work in law enforcement, he learned how to talk to people.

With two young sons, Rink was looking for a flexible career and decided to embark in real estate.

He partnered with his fiancé, Yasmina Hussain, who comes from a family of landlords and property managers. Real estate seemed a natural fit.

They do commercial and residential deals together.

“We’re a team so you’re really getting two for the price of one,” he said.

In an effort to make a name for themselves, they are extremely motivated.

“I work around the clock,” Rink said. “I was used to doing double shifts and triples so responding to an email at 3 o’clock in the morning is nothing.”

When working with buyers, Rink makes an appointment to talk about what they are interested in and run through the finances. He gets to know exactly what they are looking for and what their wants and needs are.

When a recent client came in wanting a specific foreclosure property that was more than he could afford, Rink found alternatives and has enjoyed bringing him to see fixer- Business: Real Living Scalzo group Expertise: Residential and commercial real estate

uppers. They found a property and now Rink is aggressively working to make the sale happen.

With sellers, he markets listings online and advertises them on Linkedin and Facebook Marketplace.

“One of the things that we’re very strong on is social media,” he said. “Social media is key.”

Rink primarily serves the greater Danbury area, with a focus on Redding. Rink and Hussain are planning a May wedding in Maine. They enjoy camping in their 33-foot trailer with Rink’s sons and their dog named Bluu.
