Jean Curran Rosato, 75 of Englewood, FL passed away January 21, 2019 at home surround by her loving family.

She was born January 28, 1943 to James and Evelyn Curran, Danbury, CT and was married to her high school sweetheart Joseph for 54 years.

Jean worked for the City of Danbury Housing Authority and continued her career owning multiple businesses in Danbury, CT; The Donut Hole, Jeans Deli and Jeans Deli 2 and also taught ceramics at her home for many years. Jean’s love was the arts. Whether oil painting, sketching or ceramics there was always a project in progress. Jean created many pieces that she gave as gifts to friends and family that will be cherished forever.

Together Jean and Joe traveled summers to their boat in Niantic, CT and winters to Englewood, FL. No matter where they were the two would always find a casino and report back to the kids on the profit/ loss.

Jean is survived by her 3 children daughter: Cathy (Roger) Redman of Port Charlotte, Florida; two sons: Joseph (Lisa) Rosato of Naugatuck, Connecticu­t and James (Anna) Rosato of Roxbury, Connecticu­t; brother: Emil (Joyce) Curran of Danbury, Connecticu­t .

Jean is predecease­d by her husband Joseph Rosato, brother James A. Curran and Grandson Michael O’Donnell.

The family would like to thank friends and neighbors for their kindness. Caregivers: Ida Hosey, Sophia and Ericka, Venice Hospital 4th floor, Tidewell Hospice House Englewood, Amy and the visiting staff of Hospice .

A Graveside Service for Jean will be on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sarasota National Cemetery 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
