Ann Pompea 82, of 4 North Star Drive, New Fairfield, CT passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 in Danbury Hospital with her two sons by her side.

Ann, a daughter of the late George and Anna Jazinski, was born in Danbury, CT on June 18, 1939. Ann grew up in Danbury and was a graduate of Danbury High School. Ann and husband John Pompea raised their two sons, Jon and Greg in Danbury and eventually moved to Sherman CT. Ultimately, Ann built a home in New Fairfield, CT, enjoying retirement and regular visits from her family and friends.

Ann was a hard worker, helping to build a successful company while raising a family. She later worked for Moulinex, an appliance company, as credit manager. Ann then worked for C’Ports, an importing company, before branching out into real estate with Davis and Hoyt.

Ann enjoyed to travel, especially to warm places. She was always happiest when surrounded by her grandchild­ren whether at home or at a beach house in Montauk. Ann enjoyed golfing and bowled with the Ridgewood Ladies Bowling League for many years.

Ann is survived by her loving lifetime partner Michael Pagnotta of New Fairfield CT; son, Jon Pompea of Bridgeport CT and daughter-in-law, Shirley Ann Pompea; son, Gregory Pompea and daughter-in-law Kelly, of Danbury CT; grandchild­ren: Jordan; Arianna and husband, Dan; Derek and wife, Leigh;Zachary; Zuri; Janelle; Jack; Marson; and great grandson, Henry. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Bauer of Lake Ariel PA.

Ann is predecease­d by her sisters: Marion Cappellano, Olga Jazinski, Pelagia McIntosh, Mary Stavola, Vera Cardillo, Frances Ruppell, Sophie Bard and Julia Lynch.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, Main St., Danbury, CT with the Rev. Samuel V. Scott, Pastor, officiatin­g.

Entombment will be private.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury, CT.
