Nicholas T. Fredlund

-

Nicholas T. Fredlund, age 32 of Sherman, died unexpectedly on April 25, 2022. Nick was born September 23, 1988 to Janice (Gardner) Martin and Scott Fredlund at the New Milford Hospital.

Nick attended the Sherman School and graduated from Shepaug High School in 2007. He started his landscaping business at age 17, Nick’s Maintenance LLC, which he was the owner and operator of until his death. Nick loved fishing, cooking, creating a massive vegetable garden every year with his “pop” and the Dallas Cowboys, but above all, Nick loved his family and friends. The world lost a great man, a loving son, an adoring brother, a devoted grandson and a loyal friend. We will miss his smile, his humor, his dedication to his family, his laugh, his delicious food and enthusiasm for life. We are less without him and will miss him forever.

Along with his parents, Janice and her husband Garth Martin of New Milford

and Scott Fredlund and his partner, Eileen McCormack of Sherman, Nick is survived by his sister, Brooke Fredlund and her partner Tom Gambone of New Milford, step brothers David and Robert Martin, his grandparents, Ursula Gardner of New Milford, Howard and Susan Fredlund of Sherman, his aunts and uncles, Garvin and Pam Gardner, Darla and Steve Cutts, Keith and Loretta Fredlund and Jane and Russell Coyle, his girlfriend Vivian Gucowski, numerous cousins and so many, many friends. Nick was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Clifford Gardner.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 4-8pm at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Steet New Milford, CT. A graveside service will be held on May 7, 2022 at the Morningside Cemetery in Gaylordsville, CT at 10am.
