Kudos to Democrats

-

I have a granddaughter in the Danbury public schools and so I am keenly aware of the need for an outstanding public school system in our city.

I am writing to express my utmost appreciation for the exceptional work done by the Democrats in our state delegation in securing $10 million in additional funding for the Career Academy project to correct the mayor’s fiscal mismanagement during the purchase of this property. The Democrats’ unwavering commitment to improving education and supporting our community deserves to be recognized.

The Career Academy holds tremendous potential and promise for Danbury youth and it is a testament to the dedication of our Democratic leaders that they have tirelessly advocated for the necessary resources to make this project a reality.

In contrast, I am deeply disappointed by the actions of Mayor Dean Esposito and his administration in mishandling the purchase of the Career Academy property. It is disheartening to see the mayor’s attempts to deflect blame onto the very individuals who have worked diligently to safeguard taxpayer interests from his own fiscal mismanagement.

It’s the Democrats who have demonstrated transparency and accountability through this process. They have successfully secured an additional $10 million in funding, bridging the financial gap caused by the mayor. Their efforts ensure that our community can move forward with confidence, knowing that our taxpayer dollars are being utilized responsibly.

I urge our elected leaders to uphold the highest standards of transparency and integrity. As residents and taxpayers, we place our trust in them to act in our best interests. The Democrats in our state delegation have shown their dedication to these principles, and we must continue to support their efforts.
