Chester S. Lucas Jr.

Chester S. Lucas Jr., 60, of New Fairfield, husband of Cynthia (Wichman) Lucas, died on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Danbury Hospital.

Mr. Lucas was born in New Milford, CT, June 27, 1957, a son of Sandra (Hyatt) Lucas of Danbury and the late Chester S. Lucas Sr. He attended and graduated from Sacred Heart School, Immaculate High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Western CT State University.

Mr. Lucas was an optical technician with Perkin Elmer prior to his illness.

A lifelong area resident, he enjoyed hunting and was a fan of the NY Yankees, UConn Huskies and the NY Giants. He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Danbury.

In addition to his wife Cyndee and mother Sandra, Mr. Lucas is survived by two sons, Chester Lucas III and William Lucas; two daughters, Elizabeth Lucas and her fiancée Andrew Wilkens and Melissa Lucas; three brothers, David Lucas and his wife Dawn, Gary Lucas and Erik Lucas; a sister, Kellie Lucas Fagan and her husband Alan and by a grandson Chester Lucas IV.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June

19, 2018 at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 12 Cottage St., Danbury.

Interment will take place in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury at the direction of the family.

Friends will be received at the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home,

9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
