Judith Ann Sauer, 76, of Ridgefield Crossings, Ridgefield, CT passed away the 16th of August at 5:59 p.m. surrounded by her family after a long struggle with Good pasture syndrome. Judy graduated from the Greenwich Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. She spent 30 years working in the medical field, 15 years at Greenwich Hospital and 15 years at Wilton Meadows Healthcare Center where she retired in 2004 as the Supervisor of Wilton Meadows.

She spent several years both volunteeri­ng and working for the Danbury Public School System. She loved to travel. In her early years she went all over Europe. With her husband, she cruised both coasts of North America and visited numerous historical lighthouse­s.

Survived by her sons Henry (Teresa Mares) Sauer Jr. of Charlotte, VT and Christian (Amanda) Sauer of Woodbridge, VA; her granddaugh­ter Evelyn Ann Sauer; her siblings Vernon (Helga) LeCount of Montville, ME, Sally (Greg) Hoyt of Redding, CT, and Heidi (Gary) Traister of Brookfield, CT; and 4 nephews, 4 nieces, and many cousins, grandnephe­ws, and grandniece­s. Preceded by her husband Henry Sauer Sr., mother Irmgard LeCount, and father Vernon LeCount, as well as her biological father David William Clancy Jr.

There will be no service and she will be privately laid to rest with her husband at Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the National Organizati­on for Rare Disorders. The family gives thanks to the staff at Danbury Hospital, Ridgefield Crossings, Regional Hospice and Palliative Care Center, and a special thanks to Dr. Raymond Raut.
