Model trains and antique toys will fill the Brookfield Museum this weekend for the eighth annual Traditional Christmas Open House.

Santa will stop by the event with his helpers with free treats for kids. Children can go on a holiday scavenger hunt.

Mannequins from Macy’s New York store front, displayed in the 1940s, will be on exhibit, in addition to old-time Christmas decorations and antique toys dating from the turn of the century to the 1950s. Christmas music classics will play on antique music boxes.

The free event is from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at 165 Whisconier Road. Homemade Christmas cookies, assorted pastries, hot chocolate and cider will be offered. Some handcrafted items will be on sale.
