Lawrence “Larry” C. Cole

OXFORD - Lawrence “Larry” C. Cole, age 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 9,

2018 at the Hospital at Hebrew Senior Care in West Hartford. He was born July 3, 1954 in New York City, NY to Rose Kuhn and Thomas Cole. Larry grew up in Sherman, CT and graduated from Henry Abbott Technical High School with honors. He went on to pursue a degree in Manufacturing Engineering and graduated as valedictorian of his class at Waterbury State Technical College. Larry worked at the Barden Corporation in Danbury, CT for more than 30 years, filling many technical roles in the design and manufacturing of precision ball bearings. He enjoyed walking, jogging, and playing soccer, basketball, and softball. He also had a passion for rock music, both from his youth and for new bands/musicians he discovered. On May 2,

1976, he married Marilia Sousa Cole. Together they had two children. Larry is survived by his wife of 42 years; his daughter, Jennifer and her husband Jim; his son, Kenneth and his wife Catherine; and 5 grandchildren - Bryce, Colin, Caroline, Josie, and Clara.
