Gilda G. Bostock
Gilda G. Bostock, 90, of Danbury, wife of Peter Rentz, died on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her home.
Mrs. Bostock was born in Danbury, May 22, 1928, a daughter of Joseph and Mary (Pane) Gigliotti. She attended local schools and graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1946.
Mrs. Bostock was a retired secretary and administrative assistant with the Barden Corporation.
She was a member of the Danbury Secretaries Association, the Red Hatters Association and St. Joseph Parish of Danbury.
In addition to her husband, Peter Rentz, Mrs. Bostock is survived by a sister, Rose Testanero and her husband Angelo; five step-children, Lawrence Bostock Jr., Janie Webb, Neal Rentz, Allan Rentz and Jennifer Rentz; three step grandchildren, Kelly, Alex and Michael and nieces and nephews, Alan & (Felicia) Dinho, Diane & (William) Fenwick, Thomas & Pattie Mahalik and Vincent Testanero
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bostock was predeceased by her husbands, Robert Meade and Lawrence Bostock and by two sisters, Mary Mahalik and Frances Dinho.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Danbury with the Rev. David W. Franklin, Parochial Vicar officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
Friends will be received in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave., Danbury on Monday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
