Gilda G. Bostock, 90, of Danbury, wife of Peter Rentz, died on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. Bostock was born in Danbury, May 22, 1928, a daughter of Joseph and Mary (Pane) Gigliotti. She attended local schools and graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1946.

Mrs. Bostock was a retired secretary and administra­tive assistant with the Barden Corporatio­n.

She was a member of the Danbury Secretarie­s Associatio­n, the Red Hatters Associatio­n and St. Joseph Parish of Danbury.

In addition to her husband, Peter Rentz, Mrs. Bostock is survived by a sister, Rose Testanero and her husband Angelo; five step-children, Lawrence Bostock Jr., Janie Webb, Neal Rentz, Allan Rentz and Jennifer Rentz; three step grandchild­ren, Kelly, Alex and Michael and nieces and nephews, Alan & (Felicia) Dinho, Diane & (William) Fenwick, Thomas & Pattie Mahalik and Vincent Testanero

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bostock was predecease­d by her husbands, Robert Meade and Lawrence Bostock and by two sisters, Mary Mahalik and Frances Dinho.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Danbury with the Rev. David W. Franklin, Parochial Vicar officiatin­g.

Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

Friends will be received in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave., Danbury on Monday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons to St. Joseph Church, 8 Robinson Avenue or to Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, 30 Milestone Rd., both of Danbury, CT 06810 would be appreciate­d.
