Philip A. Cammarano, age 83, of New Fairfield, Connecticu­t passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Philip was born August 1, 1935 to the late Anthony and Rose Cammarano in Dunwoody, New York.

Philip began his profession­al career with Union Carbide Corp. before retiring as a Vice President after 35 years. Post retirement, Phil continued with many positons, most current, Town Treasurer of New Fairfield

(20 years). Phil in addition was a lifetime member of The New Fairfield Lions Club (President

87-88) and the co-founder of Candlewood Bank and Trust. Phil participat­ed on many boards including, N.F. Republican Town Committee, Savings Bank of Danbury, Board of Finance of N.F. and Danbury Visiting Nurses as well as many others.

All who had the pleasure of knowing Phil knew that his time best spent was on the golf course at Ridgewood Country Club as a member, sharing relationsh­ips with anyone that he came into contact with and most importantl­y supporting his grandchild­ren’s sporting and academic events. Food and travel were some of his favorite pastimes along with spending time with his family and friends.

Philip was predecease­d by several brothers and sisters.

Philip is survived by his devoted wife Louise Cammarano, he also leaves behind his son, Philip Cammarano, wife Susan, daughter Lori Chamoures, husband Mike, son Joseph Cammarano and fiancée Mary, son Rob Cammarano and wife Brenda.

In addition, Philip leaves behind his loving grandchild­ren, Paula, Keri (Mark), Michael (Mara), Michelle (Chris), Robert and Rachael.

Calling hours for Philip will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, Connecticu­t 06810. Burial services for Philip will remain private at the family’s request.
