Nicholas Payne, of New Milford, carries the cross Friday during the annual Christian Faith Walk around the New Milford green in observance of Good Friday. The First Congregational Church of New Milford led the annual walk, which commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Area ministers read Holy Week scripture and reflected on Christ’s journey at various stations around the green.
