Ethel L. Collins

Ethel Louise Collins, 83, of Danbury, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019. She was the loving wife of Sentell Collins.

Mrs. Collins was born in Bethel, NC on August 3, 1935; a daughter of the late Ernest and Jesse Lee (Vines) Barnhill.

A Danbury resident for the past 64 years, she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Collins enjoyed sewing, crocheting, puzzles and trips to Foxwoods.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Sentell and her children; Faith Rogers (Harris); Vanessa Person (Jimmy); Jewel Pritchett and Andrea Parker. Mrs. Collins is also survived by five grandchildren; her sister Annie M. Howard and her mother-in-law; Dorothy Collins. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Mariah, a son-in-law, Donald Pritchett and brother Freddie Barnhill.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at New Hope Baptist Church, 10 Rev. Dr. Aaron Samuels Blvd., Danbury. Friends will be received from

11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday morning at the church. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
