N.J. firm acquires local insururer
The Greenwich insurance agency Lampe-Batkin Associates was acquired by World Insurance Associates, with both firms focusing primarily on property and casualty coverage. The companies did not reveal financial terms. Lampe Batkin was created by Hy Lampe in the 1950s and is run by son-in-law, Steve Batkin. Launched in 2012 and based in Tinton Falls, N.J., World Insurance Associates has 27 offices in eight states, with the agency nearly quadrupling revenue over a three-year period to $18.6 million in 2017, according to Inc.
