Documentary to be screened

Gunn Memorial Library will present the “Exhibition on Screen” documentary, “Degas: Passion for Perfection,” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The screening is co-sponsored with Washington Art Association.

The film journeys from the streets of Paris to the heart of an exhibition at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, whose extensive collection of Degas’ works is the most representative in Britain.

A Cinco De Mayo celebration for families will also be held at the library at 1 p.m. Saturday, while a Make it for Mother’s Day event will be held at 1 p.m. May 11
