Concert to honor 100th birthday of composer

The Connecticut Choral Society will celebrate the

100th birthday of composer Leonard Bernstein this weekend.

The group will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church in Newtown and 3 p.m. Sunday at at North Congregational Church in Woodbury.

The concert features the

50-voices of the Connecticut Choral Society and acclaimed pianist Linda Sweetman-Waters, all under the direction of Eric Dale Knapp.

Tickets are $25 for adults,

$20 for youth/seniors, and
