Art show, sale to be held

The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown will present its 49th Annual Juried Spring Art Show and Sale at Art & Frame beginning this Saturday through May 18.

Show hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Receiving for the show is from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Art & Frame. Artists can go to scanart.org for an entry form.

The annual Larry Newquist Award for Excellence/ Best in Show prize for $600 and numerous other prizes (totaling $2,000) will be given for outstanding work at the show reception, which will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, with awards presented at 6 p.m.
