HOUSE FIRE QUICKLY EXTINGUISHED
Danbury firefighters extinguished a fire at a home Saturday night.
The call came in at 9:28 p.m., with a resident reporting a fire in their attic as they were evacuating the house.
The first unit arrived on scene at 9:30 p.m. and confirmed a working fire with smoke and flames showing from a window at the home. Volunteers were told to cover their stations while crews operated at the blaze.
The fire was out by 9:38 p.m. Firefighters immediately started the overhaul process, ensuring the flames didn’t spread.
A fire marshal was requested to investigate. One fire unit on scene said Red Cross would not be needed.
